SICKLO EMPLOYEE TERMS OF SERVICE

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By creating an account on Sicklo ("the Platform"), you ("Employee" or "User") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations of the United Kingdom. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the Platform.
2. ELIGIBILITY
You must be at least 16 years of age and legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom to use this Platform. By registering, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and that you are authorised to share your employment history.
3. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION & SECURITY
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to: (a) provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration; (b) maintain and promptly update your account information; (c) notify us immediately of any unauthorised access or security breach; (d) accept responsibility for all activities occurring under your account.
4. EMPLOYMENT RECORDS & DATA ACCURACY
You agree to provide truthful and accurate information regarding your employment history, including but not limited to: job titles, employment dates, sick leave records, and employer details. Deliberately providing false or misleading information may result in: (a) immediate account termination; (b) notification to affected employers; (c) legal action where appropriate; (d) permanent ban from the Platform.
5. VERIFICATION PROCESS
Employment records submitted through the Platform are subject to verification by current and former employers. By using the Platform, you: (a) consent to employers being contacted to verify your employment details; (b) authorise the release of your employment information to verifying parties; (c) understand that unverified records will be clearly marked as such; (d) acknowledge that disputed records may affect your Sicklo Score.
6. SICKLO SCORE
The Sicklo Score is a reliability metric calculated based on your verified employment history and attendance patterns. You understand that: (a) the Score is generated algorithmically based on verified data; (b) employers may view your Score when you share your profile; (c) the Score does not constitute a credit rating or employment guarantee; (d) we reserve the right to modify Score calculations at any time.
7. PROFILE SHARING & DATA DISCLOSURE
When you share your profile with an employer, you consent to the disclosure of: (a) your verified employment history; (b) sick leave records and patterns; (c) your Sicklo Score and reliability badges; (d) any additional information you have made visible on your profile. You may revoke access to your profile at any time through your account settings.
Important: If you share your profile with an email address belonging to a team member of a company, your profile will automatically be shared with that team member's parent company. This ensures proper organisational access management and allows all authorised team members of that company to view your shared profile. The company name will be displayed in your access list with the team member's email in brackets.
8. ID DOCUMENT SHARING
You may optionally upload identity documents (I.D, driving licence, etc.) to your profile. By uploading ID documents: (a) you consent to AI-powered facial matching for verification purposes; (b) you authorise sharing with employers when you grant profile access; (c) you confirm the documents belong to you and are valid; (d) you understand documents are stored securely and encrypted; (e) you may delete documents at any time through your account settings.
9. DATA PROTECTION & PRIVACY
We process your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Your rights include: (a) right of access to your personal data; (b) right to rectification of inaccurate data; (c) right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"); (d) right to restrict processing; (e) right to data portability; (f) right to object to processing. 10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content, features, and functionality of the Platform are owned by Sicklo and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sicklo shall not be liable for: (a) any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages; (b) loss of profits, data, or business opportunities; (c) decisions made by employers based on information provided through the Platform; (d) any employment outcomes resulting from use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for using the Platform.
12. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sicklo, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; (d) any false or inaccurate information provided by you.
13. ACCOUNT TERMINATION
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for: (a) violation of these Terms; (b) fraudulent or illegal activity; (c) provision of false information; (d) abusive behaviour towards other users or staff; (e) extended periods of inactivity. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.
14. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or Platform notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
15. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTES
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
